The product is a multi-socketed fast charging power brick with several different types of socket inputs.
The product presents a serious risk of fire as it is insufficiently earthed. The fuse included with the product did not contain granular filler and the end caps were not correctly secured. Under fault conditions, the fuse would not operate properly and could catch fire, causing the product to explode. The cross-sectional area of the conductor was also insufficient, which could lead to overheating and ignition.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
