Details
White oval-shared fan heater with gold rim and black grating, supplied with black power supply cord and three-pin plug in white cardboard packaging.
The product presents a serious risk of fire as the overheat protection device was not fixed, and would not function when required. This could cause the product to overheat and ignite. The plug also had pins with a distinct step between the sleeve and the metal parts which could cause damage to the socket and undue wear and tear to the sleeve over time. Additional, the fuse did not contain any ballast, which is required for the proper functioning of the fuse under fault conditions, thereby presenting a risk of fire.
The product also required improvements to marking, labelling and documentation. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
