The product presents a risk of electric shock as the plug does not meet the dimensional requirements of the relevant standard. The user could access live pins when unplugging, or plugging in, the plug from the socket. The product also presents a risk of fire as it was inadequately earthed, with a counterfeit fuse that could not provide the required protection under fault conditions. The product also requires improvement to marking, labelling and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
