Details
Reptile heat lamp with black power supply cord in dark cardboard packaging with an image of a lizard on the face. All batches are affected.
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock. The dimensions of the plug face were noncompliant which can allow access to live parts when plugging in, or unplugging, the plug from the socket. The fuse was also noncompliant and counterfeit, which can allow the product to become live under fault conditions. The cable can also be worked loose from the clamp by hand, allowing access to the live wire.
The product also required improvements to marking, labelling and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
