Black floodlight lamp supplied with an instruction manual.
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as it is inadequately earthed. The earth terminal had not been marked with the correct symbol and there was no terminal provided. The earth wire had not been connected. Due to inadequate earthing, overtime the wires could degrade and the metal accessible parts of the product could become live, presenting an electric shock hazard to consumers. The product also failed the electric strength test, as the insulation broke down when the 3000 V test voltage was applied between the
live input and accessible metal parts. The instructions supplied with the product were considered inadequate as they did not contain adequate information to ensure that the equipment could be correctly and safely installed, used, and maintained. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical
Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
