Details
The product presents a serious risk of injuries due to issues with the external
build of the product. Firstly, the non-approved pressure release valve’s vent
faces up, possibly into the operator’s face, causing air or atomized grease to
be thrown into the user’s face. This presents a hazard of injury. Secondly, the
release pipe is directly above the on off switch so if any moisture condensates
it will fall onto the non-approved switch/resettable fuse. If the cover comes
away moisture ingress could cause the hazards of unexpected starting which
may cause serious injuries to the user. The product does not meet the
requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
