Large stainless steel food grinder.
The product presents a serious risk of fire and electric shock due to a poor external/internal build. The product featured poor quality connections. These connections were made using locking crimps but could be removed from components easily by hand, presenting a risk of electric shock. The earth was also mounted by a non-secure fixing and did not have the protective earth symbol present.
The product also failed the electric strength test, and breakdown occurred before full test voltage was applied. The product was supplied with a counterfeit plug and fuse, further presenting a risk of fire and electric shock.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 and Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
