Details
Stainless steel ice crusher machine with “Vevor” brand printed on the front.
The product presents a serious risk of injuries and electric shock. When tested, the blade still spun in the ice chute after the handle was lifted and did not brake, presenting a cutting hazard to the user.
The metal ice filler mouth assembly was not earthed. As the microswitch was mounted onto the metal chute mouth and had mains potential but was not in a sealed cover, it is likely ingress of water could occur. Therefore, under fault conditions the product could present a hazard of electric shock. The product also failed the electric strength test and breakdown occurred before full test voltage was applied.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
