The intended use of a RPPL360: a jump starter for motorcycles, cars, 4x4s and vans; a LED torch; and a power bank for phones and tablets.
The product has been identified as presenting a high risk of fire. A manufacturing fault can lead to the sleeving on the battery cable being damaged by a solder pin of a component on the PCB. This creates the possibility of a short circuit and the PCB overheating. The proximity to a lithium-ion battery presents a risk of the battery igniting.
