The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the earthing arrangement on this appliance was considered inadequate. If the product is mishandled, the poor earthing could cause the product to become live, and therefore give the consumer electric shocks due to its metal shell. The plug and fuse also failed the comply with the relevant standards, further presenting a risk of electric shock. The instructions provided were inadequate as they did not contain sufficient information to ensure the correct and safe use of the equipment.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
