The product presents a high risk of electric shock as the earthing arrangement on this appliance was considered inadequate. The earthing terminal had not been locked against accidental loosening. Due to this, the earthing could likely not stop the device from electrocuting the consumer if an issue occurred. The instructions supplied with the product were inadequate as they did not contain sufficient information to ensure the correct and safe use of the equipment.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
