The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the lamp’s conductor wires have inadequate insulation and the supply cord could easily become damaged/worn over time due to their being no bush on the supply cord protecting the live conductors. Therefore, the live conductors could become accessible and if the user were to touch them would receive an electric shock.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
