Risk
These mats have been supplied with a counterfeit fuse that does not meet the required British Standards (BS1362) for electrical safety.
Additionally, due to an identified construction flaw the heat mats also present a risk of failed termination, which could lead to arcing and, in extreme circumstances, to live parts being exposed.
There is a possibility that in the event of a cable/appliance fault the fuse installed may explode, posing a risk of injury.
