Tesco is taking the precautionary measure of recalling three batches of the above product due to a potential manufacturing fault which may lead to scalding.
Models affected
This recall only affects the kettles of model JKR17 sold since 4th February 2008 with the following batch code:
071013 071115 071129
No other product or batch code is affected by this recall.
What to do next
This number is made up of 6 digits starting with 07, and it is found on the rating label on the underside of the kettle immediately below the CE mark.
Stop using this kettle immediately Customers should identify the batch code on their kettle. Customers who have bought one of the affected kettles are requested to return it to the store in which it was purchased where a full refund will be given. Customers who have a kettle with a batch code different to the above can continue to use their kettles as normal.
