UK company the Meyer Group has identified a risk of product failure linked to defective heating elements in certain batches of Prestige Deco 1.5L Cordless Dome Kettles. In isolated cases, this may result in sparks and a potential fire risk.
Models affected
The affected models were manufactured between December 2006 and November 2007. This recall relates to specific batches of this particular design. No other Prestige kettles or products are affected.
The batch codes numbers range from 1206 to 1107. Listed below is a schedule of the affected kettles.

What to do next
Check the four-digit batch number located on the underside of the kettle. This number has been inscribed into both the kettle and underside of the base, and represents the month and year of manufacture.
