What to do next
To find out if you have an affected kettle, simply look on the underside of the power base, where you will find an oval shaped label which contains a four digit code followed by a letter. The models affected are codes from 0531M to 0612M. If your product has an affected code but contains a green dot at the side of the oval label, this does not need to be returned.
If you do have an affected kettle, please stop using it immediately. Please return it to the retailer where it was purchased for a replacement or full refund of the purchase price.
Alternatively please contact our customer service department on Freephone 0800 954 8927 who will advise you. You can also visit www.russellhobbs.co.uk which provides further information.
Electrical Safety First recommends that anyone who discovers they have an electrical item that has been recalled should stop using it until it has been checked by the manufacturer.
