BS 88 and its various parts have been integrated into the (IEC/BS EN/BS HD) 60269 series of standards, there are many types and ratings of these fuses. However, the main types may be summarized as:

BS 88-2 = industrial, (BS HD 60269-2)

BS 88-3 = domestic, (BS HD 60269-2)

88-4 = fast fuses (protection of semiconductor devices e.g. motor drives, etc)
