If you have used a registered electrician to carry out an EICR, they will generally get it counter-signed by another registered electrician in their firm (a qualified supervisor). However, if the electrician is a sole trader they will sign it twice themselves.
We recommend that you always use a registered electrician to carry out an EICR on your property as they can then deal with any remedial work that the report identifies as being necessary. You can find one near you here.
