On 31 July 2024, Amendment 3 of ‘BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations IET Wiring Regulations’ will be released.
This amendment addresses a key issue regarding the selection and installation of protective devices, particularly where installed with an additional source of power, such as battery storage, or solar PV.
Electrical Safety First welcomes the forthcoming release of the Amendment and believes it will remove ambiguities regarding the installation of these devices and ensure that safety provisions for low-carbon installations are effective.
Importantly, this amendment will be released as a free to download pdf, to accompany the existing brown book copy of BS7671:2018+A2:2022.
