Job Title: Electrical Installation Safety Manager
Location: Hybrid (split between home and London office)
Salary: £70,000 – £75,000

For nearly 70 years, Electrical Safety First has been actively campaigning for and pursuing advancements in electrical safety standards and regulations. Previously known as the Electrical Safety Council (ESC), our organisation has two specialised technical teams focusing on electrical installation safety and electrical product safety. As we plan for the future, we are looking to strengthen our team and its capabilities.
About this role
You will be required to:
- Manage the Electrical Installation Safety team (2 currently in the team placed by TalentTech).
- Liaise with internal colleagues in the Public Affairs and Communications teams to raise awareness and industry standards of unsafe electrical installations.
- Represent ESF through presentations, exhibitions and media engagements (web, TV, and Radio) to highlight their ongoing work.
- Stay abreast of relevant EU/IEC/UK standards and developments.
- Guide the conception, design, development and maintenance of ESF’s technical and safety publications.
- Manage technical projects and investigations.
- Be based in the London office along with hybrid working.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Prior demonstratable experience of technical team management.
- Be qualified and experienced in the design, installation, testing and verification of electrical systems in the built environment.
- A degree in an electrotechnical discipline is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with low carbon / renewable technologies such as Solar PV and Battery Storage is beneficial.
- Confident writing and presenting detailed technical reports.
- Have right to work in the UK as sponsorship cannot be provided.
